Saltwater-cooled greenhouses are currently being pilot tested as part of the Sahara Forest Project, and SSP can provide electricity to expand greenhouse network inland by continuously pumping seawater. A preliminary analysis suggests that 1GW of power can pump enough water to irrigate an area more than 1,000 km<sup>2<\/sup>, overcoming uphill height differences of several hundred meters.
