Abstract:

In the development of remote sensing applications, greater emphasis is now being placed on obtaining high spatial resolution imagery of relatively small selected areas for purposes such as the control of urban development, cartography and monitoring agriculture. A very large potential market exists in these and similar fields or activity, as confirmed by the emergence of many proposed commercial systems to cater for the anticipated demand.
