Refund policy

Thank you for purchasing products or subscribing to services from the British Interplanetary Society.

Digital Products and Memberships

For digital products and memberships, once purchased you will have immediate access to your content, and thus lose any right to ‘cooling-off’ period to cancel this purchase and get a refund. You will be charged immediately.

Physical Products

For physical products, in order to be eligible for a refund, you have to return the product within 30 calendar days of your purchase. The product must be in the same condition that you receive it and undamaged in any way. We offer a full money-back guarantee for purchases of any physical products made on our website. If you are not satisfied with the product that you have purchased from us, you can get your money back no questions asked.

After we receive your item, it will be inspected, and we will process your refund. The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement.

If the product is damaged in any way, or you have initiated the return after 30 calendar days have passed, you may not be eligible for a refund.  Please note that Import duties, taxes or charges are your responsibility, and these will not be refunded, and you will not receive a refund for postage costs if you decline an order at that point.

Event Tickets

For events tickets, no refunds will be given once purchased unless the event has to be cancelled.

If travelling to the event from outside of the country that the event is being held in, tickets are purchased on the understanding that you will be able to enter the country of the event without issue. Refunds will not be given if you are unable to enter the country of the event for any reason. If you are unsure, you should check the entry requirements of the immigration services for the country of the event before travelling.

If the event is a physical and virtual hybrid event and the physical event must be cancelled, you will be refunded the difference to a ‘virtual only’ ticket. Virtual ticket holders will only be offered a refund if the event in its entirety is cancelled.

You will only be offered a full refund on the ticket price if the physical and virtual aspects have to be cancelled, and the event cannot be held.
