Abstract:

The SIMAID study is a project being undertaken by a consortium consisting of Science Systems (Space) Limited and Computer Resources International, Denmark. It is managed by staff at the Flight Control Systems Division of the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC/FCSD). ESOC provides multi-satellite monitor and control capabilities for the launch, early orbit and operational mission phases. For each spacecraft mission ESOC procures a software simulator to test ground system facilities, validate operational procedures and train spacecraft controllers.
