Abstract:

Hydrogen peroxide, as an oxidant for use in liquid propellant rocket engines, receives bad notices in US technical publications. The comments in Sutton and Ross, Rocket Propulsion Elements, for important instance, are unbalanced and dismissive, presenting much too negative a view. This is almost certainly because of a lack of competent experience in the USA.
