Abstract:
As shown recently [1], computational quantum chemical modelling of nano-size objects can be of great help for modem material science and for nanotechnology, and is becoming a powerful tool for studying those objects quantitatively. The practical and current application of such philosophy has become possibly only quite recently, through the availability of sophisticated and efficient quantum chemical software developed at the Institute of Surface Chemistry of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (Kiev).
