Abstract:

Laser beams have been suggested many times for interplanetary and interstellar signalling. as laser light could be sent into space which might be detected at interstellar distances and be distinguishable from the background light of the stars, such beam being capable of carrying enormous amounts or simultaneous information through its enormous bandwidth.
