Abstract:

THE IMPACT EFFECTS of diffuse interstellar matter on relativistic spacecraft have already been examined in detail by Martin [1], Powell [2] and Anderson [3]. Propellant and thrust requirements for a low-Beta trip to Barnard’s star are outlined in an excellent summary by Bond and Marlin [4].
