Abstract:
The Shanghai Institute of Machine and Electricity Design (SIMED) successfully launched the T-7M and T-7 sounding rockets in February 1960 and September 1961, respectively. The next main task of the SIMED was to carry out the development of an artificial satellite as well as to increase the performances and the peak flight height of the rockets.
