Abstract:

The magnetometer is an essential instrument in any broadly based planetary space mission. Measurements made by the instrument can probe the deep interior of the planet, where the planetary magnetic field originates, to the most distant parts of a planetary environment as well as making a critical contribution to our understanding of the interaction between Titan’s outer atmosphere and the plasma in its surroundings.
