Abstract:
The goal of the present paper is to outline a project philosophy for extraplanetary mission unmanned probes from a conceptual point of view. When the basic conception of such a mission and the theoretical analysis of celestial mechanics or propulsion problems are left in order to examine relevant engineering aspects, many difficulties arise owing to the lack of information essential if we are to formulate the problems exhaustively.
