Evening Lecture: Modern Space Elevator: Ready to Initiate Development (free for members!)

Join us at BIS HQ or online for our first in-person and hybrid virtual Evening Lecture since Covid restrictions began. Peter Swann and Jerry Eddy from the International Space Elevator Consortium will talk about advances that are enabling the engineering behind space elevators to become a reality.

The event will take place at BIS HQ in London, as well as being available online.  You must register on this page in order to attend either online or in person, it will not be possible to attend without pre-registration by 12 noon on the day of the event.  Members and Fellows must be logged in to access their free ticket, and you must complete checkout (entering no payment details) to register.

We will be accepting a maximum of 40 attendees for the physical event in order to ensure that those who wish to observe physical distancing can continue to do so, with some seats arranged to ensure this can be offered during the lecture.  Hand sanitiser will be available on arrival and in the lecture room.  Advice on face masks will be given closer to the time, but as a baseline, those wishing to wear a face mask will be able to do so.  Refreshments will be able to be purchased at the event.
