Abstract:
One of the aims of nanobiology is the search and development or biomolecular systems which could be technologically realised in miniature elements of control systems and computers. The way a problem is put presumes that there exists some parameter in a given molecular system whose change may be efficiently controlled from outside and then read as an output signal. Theoretically, the signal can be read from changes in various characteristics of the molecule, e.g., from a change in its spatial and mechanical properties or charge distribution over surface and volume. Attention is especially focused on devices with controlled electron conductivity viz molecular electronic devices.
