Abstract:
In the mid-1970s the Soviet Union started to identify some satellites as being flown for natural resources monitoring. It is now known that most of these satellites comprised the Fram and Resurs -F series. While has been written about the Resurs -F programme, the flights within the Fram programme have been ignored. This paper reviews what is known from Russian publications and what can be obtained from an analysis of the orbital data issued via the Goddard Space Flight Center’s Orbit Information Group.
