Abstract:

The aim of this work is to present the advantages of the Living Disk Spaceship Design Concept. In contrast to the current spaceship capsules and modules, an integrated design is introduced to improve the basic requirements for human spaceflight: artificial gravity, an adaptive radiation protection, and volume for a bioregenerative live-support system. Moreover, with the availability of the described spaceship hull, subsequential improvements are made possible for space planting and the complexity reduction of the integrated supply and recycling systems.
