In 2015 an unpowered ‘MarsCart’ for pedestrian transportation of exploration equipment on the surface of Mars was
proposed. Since that time, two such MarsCarts have been fabricated to the ‘boilerplate’ level for preliminary testing of the
MarsCart concept and design. Test results encouraged continued development, as discussed in this paper. Development
extended to proposing an integrated Mars Surface Exploration System (MSES) to be fabricated and tested at University of
Arizona’s Center for Human Space Exploration.
