Abstract:
The first Apollo lunar landing mission took place at a time when deep space navigation techniques were more primitive than today. The geodetic locations of the stations of the Deep Space Net work were known to a consistency of about 5m, while the locations of other NASA stations were thought t0 be accurate to about 15m.
