Abstract:

Most discussions on the subject of robotic interstellar probes concentrate on methods of propulsion, size and types of instrumentation, and scientific, social and political motivations; in other words, the ”how”, “what” and ‘why” of such missions. An issue which perhaps is not as heavily discussed but which is no less important concern s the destination (s) for such an undertaking, i.e., the “where”.
