Abstract:
Historical lunar base studies and planning have not usually focused on commercial development. Contemporary materials from the Lunar Base Subcommittee of the International Academy of Astronautics, for example, implicitly assume funding from a consortium of governments. Earlier works which have focused on commercial development mainly concern three well-known energy -for-Earth concepts and various miscellaneous ideas.
