Abstract:

“Starwisp”, a type of very-fast and ultra-light interstellar probe was suggested by Forward in 1985  Consisting of a wire mesh sail with deposited micro circuitry, starwisp is propelled to high interstellar velocity by momentum transfer for a microwave beam.
