Abstract:
The Ariel 3 and 4, and later the Geos and ISEE, spacecraft have all played important roles in improving our understanding of wave-particle interactions in the magnetosphere. While Ariel 4, Geos and ISEE were dedicated to this, there were experiments devoted to the lower atmosphere as well as the ionosphere/magnetosphere on Ariel 3.
