We welcome Piers Bizony back to the BIS after a gap of some 3 years, to tell us about his latest book ‘The Art of NASA’. It is a beautiful collection of artwork that helped define NASA and space exploration – in effect they are the Illustrations that ‘Sold the Missions’ for the general public. No matter your age you will likely find several images here that will look familiar to you.
Biography:
Piers Bizony has written about science and aerospace for a variety of magazines. He is the author of The Space Shuttle: Celebrating Thirty Years of NASA’s First Space Plane and One Giant Leap: Apollo 11 Remembered, as well as 2001: Filming the Future and Space: 50, marking the fiftieth anniversary of Sputnik.

This lecture will be delivered by our speaker live from our HQ building in London. You can choose either to register as ‘in-person’ to join us in the audience at the BIS HQ building and meet with us and other in-person attendees at the HQ building (and socialise after in the bar!), or alternatively you can choose to register to join us online to watch it live-streamed from the BIS lecture room on Crowdcast.
