Abstract:

Studies of the Sun and Heliosphere are of renewed and increasing importance as advanced space techniques offer an insight into the basic process causing such effects as the formation of U1c corona, and the generation of the solar wind. It is now becoming clear that coronae and mass loss are to be found in a wide variety of stars. and so it is of great benefit for us to be able to study these phenomena in detail by observing the nearest of stars – our Sun.
