Abstract:
EXOSAT (European X-ray Observation SATellite) is a scientific spacecraft due for launch by ESA in 1981, with the purpose of observing stellar X-ray sources from a highly eccentric Earth orbit. The spacecraft makes use of 3 axis stabilization in order to be able to keep its instruments pointed at sources of interest.
