Abstract:

This paper will be concerned with linear feature detection in Landsat data of areas where linear feature are typically narrower than the sensor resolution [79m by 79m]. Since most man-made linear features are considerably less than a Landsat pixel in width, and in the UK most natural linear features such as rivers are also less than a pixel wide, the performance of detectors in these areas is of considerable interest.
