Abstract:

The following list bas been prepared from the compiler’s own personal records, supplemented by contributions by a number of people who have been particularly interested in observing the cosmonaut team over the years. Special thanks are due to James Oberg, Michael Cassutt, Anne van den Berg, Gordon Hooper, Bert Vis, Vadim Molchanov and Phil Clark for their assistance. With the advent of glasnost the Soviets have identified many who were selected but never had the opportunity to fly into space. This is the first time that all information gleaned has been published together.
