Abstract:

The two Voyager spacecraft, now in the twilight of their years, are on a journey to the edge of the solar system in search of the heliopause, the outer boundary of the Sun’s magnetic field where the pressure of the solar wind equals that of interstellar space. This new phase of the Voyager odyssey is called the Voyager Interstellar Mission (VIM).
