Abstract:

Zeolites are crystals with great importance in several industrial processes. They are used as catalysts in cracking of heavy oil components in refineries, in production of gasoline from methanol, in separation, cleaning and even nutrition. Zeolites are found as minerals in nature but for most industrial applications synthetic or modified zeolites are used.
